The primary focus of this position is to provide support to the Accounting & Finance team by assisting with billing/invoicing, payroll, month-end close and acting as a liaison between brands and internal teams. The role is vital to the day-to-day operations of DBA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and send invoices based on revenue recognition policy and following GAAP
Review contracts to determine the billing terms and updating the contract database
Create journal entries and update supporting schedules for month-end close
Assist in updating payroll system to support bi-weekly payroll cycles, i.e. time cards, registers, etc.
Manage talent inquiries by working with various teams to provide comprehensive responses
Assist internal teams by providing current status on inquiries and driving to resolution
Commit to furthering individual industry knowledge and professional growth & development

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
2+ years of experience in accounting/finance
2+ years of experience in payroll
Proven proficiency and experience in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and Excel
General accounting knowledge – G/L, A/P, A/R, invoicing, and bank reconciliations
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
Strong communication and collaborative skills
Excellent organizational skills and accuracy
Extensive experience with data entry and record keeping
Knowledge of GAAP
Experience with QuickBase, a plus
Experience with Paylocity, a plus
