Digital Brand Architects Los Angeles office is seeking a Manager of Accounting who will support the Vice President of Finance in overseeing the accounting division, inclusive of managing the day-to-day of the accounting team.


• Supervise and lead the accounting team, ensuring efficient processes and procedures are in place and followed, as it pertains to invoicing, AP, AR, T&E expenses and account reconciliations, business performance reporting, database vendors and relations
• Ensure monthly close deliverables are completed accurately and timely and participate in quarterly pre-close meetings with the Head of Finance
• Understand, prepare and record required monthly journal entries; independently verify source data
• Prepare and maintain accounting schedules for a broad range of business activities, partnering with team members and other functional departments as needed to validate information and assumptions
• Verify that the company’s billing database, QuickBase in parallel with QuickBooks, has been updated accurately and timely for deal activity each month
• Assist Vice President of Finance in performing controls testing, fulfilling audit requests, and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. Participate in policy compliance efforts (e.g. corporate travel and entertainment policy compliance) as required
• Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed
• Managed fixed asset register and review regularly for obsolete or retired assets
• Perform routine audits on daily bookkeeping and day-to-day operations
• Manage talent and brand relations when payment issues are escalated and ensure escalations are handled in a professional and timely manner to the satisfaction of the business
• Participate in quarterly and annual performance meetings within the talebt management division and provide strategic input as necessary
• Oversee quarterly and annual company requirements as it pertains to 1099 & 1096 filings and other various tax forms
• Additional responsibilities as required


• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance
• Proven proficiency and experience in QuickBooks, Microsoft office and Excel required


• Experience with QuickBase not required but highly preferred
• Experience effectively managing a team ranging from entry-level to Bookkeeper
• Experience making informed decisions and delegating accordingly
• Experience assigning protocol for team members to follow
• Extensive experience with aggregating and quality checking data
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must
• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to pro-actively identify discrepencies and resolve accordingly
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
