It's a Hamptons Summer

July is here and summer is in full swing.

Whether you’re a creator looking to boost your content or a brand aiming to connect with your audience in new and exciting ways, the summer season always brings golden opportunities to immerse yourself in fun summer trends. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s heating up the scene:

The Hamptons Phenomenon

Is it truly summer if it’s not a Hamptons Summer? What started with private chefs offering a glimpse of their cooking for their extravagant clients turned into a massive movement full of people wanting to experience a Hamptons Summer through their favorite food and lifestyle creators. Incorporate this aspect of luxury and escape (i.e.: through travel) so your audiences can also live vicariously through you.

Joining a Run Club

Even if running in the sweltering heat doesn’t seem all that appealing, the phenomenon of people joining run clubs is an example of how the wellness landscape is expanding and signals that people are ready to get outside and socialize. Audiences want to experience more community-based activities that promote well-being and social connection.

The Aperol Spritz Effect

The allure of alfresco dining with a refreshing spritz in hand is irresistible in the summer. With everyone’s need to consume vibrant drinks and seasonal dishes as soon as the sun is out comes the perfect opportunity to create engaging content and campaigns around fun, easy-to-make summer recipes. From zesty cocktails to fresh meals, the possibilities for creative food and drink content are endless.

Even if you’re not summering in the Hamptons or joining a run club or sipping on a spritz, take note of the general themes of escape and community behind the three trends and apply that to your content or campaigns this summer.

Happy summering!

Sistersnacking

The sisters behind “Sistersnacking” grew up in Glastonbury, CT and the majority of their fondest memories revolve around food. As a family of six, it was easier to go out to eat than cook and they learned first-hand that ordering family style is the best way to do it. Madison’s obsession with Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives started the families love of food and traveling for the right spot. The sisters love trying new foods and restaurants and exploring new cities. One of the best ways to explore a new place or a familiar city is through a food crawl and the ladies love to bring along friends, most recently partnering with Bobby Flay and Quinn XCII for two NYC based food crawls. When they aren’t trying new restaurants, they love cooking at home and creating new recipes. Sistersnacking has been featured in publications such as NY Mag, Forbes, Eater, Bon Appetit and Buzzfeed.

Pride Month

Happy Pride Month!

When it comes to celebrating Pride and advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community, everyone can contribute in meaningful ways, whether through participation, support, or advocacy.

We asked Matt Newman and Joey Zauzig what their Pride celebrations looked like this year and what they believe creators and brands can do to better advocate and support the LGBTQIA+ community.

For @MattLovesHair, his Pride celebrations include hosting a fundraiser and beauty drive to benefit the LA LGBT Center. For @JoeyZauzig, he's celebrating with his chosen family in Los Angeles and showing up and out at all the concerts and parades.

Two creators that are the epitome of authenticity and advocacy, Matt and Joey highlight the importance of mainstream representation and being unapologetically yourself for your community.

See their full answers below and don't forget that celebrating Pride should be a year-round commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.
