Holiday Food Content.

The holidays bring a season full of indulgence, relaxation, and feasting – lots of feasting. For food creators and influencers, this upcoming month presents a golden opportunity to savor the spotlight.

Whether they’re offering their followers creative twists on traditional dishes or showcasing delicious recipes that audiences can recreate to impress at their next holiday party, food creators play a large role during the holidays by becoming guides through the festive culinary landscape.

Curated recipes, tips, and visually appealing content like @WishboneKitchen’s Lazy Thanksgiving Hacks and @KaleJunkie’s Pomegranate Holiday Cubes not only inspire but also create a sense of connection and community. Their expertise and engaging storytelling showcase delicious creations and serve as a source of comfort for those navigating the difficult terrain of holiday party hosting and menu planning.

Even if you’re not going to attempt something like @CJ.Eats_’s Crispy Pork Belly, you can’t deny the power of relatable food creators and their integral role in resonating with audiences and boosting engagement online around the holidays.

You asked, we answered.

Curious about how influencers skyrocket to fame or the inner workings of the creator economy? In this new segment of our newsletter, we're answering all the commonly asked questions you may have about the dynamic world of influencers and the creator economy. Whether you're an aspiring content creator, a curious enthusiast, or a brand looking to tap into influencer marketing, we've got you covered.

How do I increase engagement on my social media posts?

Engage with your audience by asking questions, running polls, and responding to comments. Create shareable, visually appealing content, and use relevant hashtags and keywords to expand your reach. Consistency is key—regularly post high-quality content.

What's the best platform to focus on for growing a following?

It depends on your target audience. Research where your audience spends time and tailor your strategy accordingly. Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube are popular for visuals and videos, while LinkedIn, X, and Threads cater to different professional networks.

How frequently should I post to increase my following?

Consistency matters more than frequency. Find a posting schedule that works for you and stick to it. Monitor your analytics to understand when your audience is most active and tailor your posting times accordingly.

How can I collaborate with others to grow my following?

Collaborate with influencers or creators in your niche for cross-promotion. Host joint live sessions, create content together, or participate in each other's events. This exposes both audiences to new content and can help grow your following.

What role does content quality play in growing a following?

Content quality is crucial. Ensure your content is valuable, engaging, and relevant to your audience. Use high-resolution images or videos, provide useful information, and maintain a consistent brand voice to keep followers interested and coming back for more. What are some “problems” within your niche that you can help solve for your followers?

The Season of Giving

Beyond Thanksgiving, November is also the host of another important holiday event: Giving Tuesday.

The lesser-known counterpart of Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that emphasizes the other important aspect of the holiday season: the giving part. The globally observed day serves as a reminder that amidst the rush for deals and festivities, there exists an opportunity to give back, not just materially but through kindness, time, and support. Giving Tuesday highlights the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

In the spirit of giving back, DBA partnered with Downtown Women's Center, a non-profit on a mission to end homelessness for women in greater Los Angeles through housing, wellness, employment, and advocacy. Together, the team assembled 100 personal wellness kits to support the cause.

Thank you to Living Proof, Conair, and Scunci for providing essential toiletries and hair care products, and to our DBA team for coming together to make a positive impact.
