2020 Year In Review
2020 was a challenging year for all, but looking back, it was also a monumental year for many DBA clients. As the world “went digital,” we saw their talent and unparalleled creativity rise through the conflict of a global pandemic, social unrest and cultural turmoil — bringing audiences and brands alike together on one accord.
These past 12 months gave us a lot to celebrate: Digitally native talent transcending into traditional brands with products, books, TV and significant commercial and ambassador campaigns. The industry’s youngest stars showing us the value of TikTok, pushing the proverbial needle further than ever before with unheard-of engagement rates (45%) and becoming brands themselves. Food and lifestyle talent, whose engagement rates and page views doubled, inspiring us through their unique style of educational storytelling.
The proof is in the numbers. Heading into the new year, the influencer industry is strong, resilient, powerful and expected to hit over 9 billion thanks to the growth of holiday sales figures. DBA will end this year with over 9,000 talent-led campaigns and two recently launched sister brands, Small Business Big Influence and Your Live Guide, in support of the community — work we are immensely proud to have achieved.
